Effective date: TO DO: effective date
Version: TO DO: version — the app records acceptance of "v1.0"; keep the two in step
These Terms are an agreement between you and TO DO: legal entity name, TO DO: address ("Trancemoto", "we", "us"). They cover the Trancemoto app and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Some sections matter more than others. Please read at least: 4 (riding safety), 5 (AI features), 6 and 7 (subscriptions and AI credits), 15 (disclaimers) and 16 (limits on our liability). Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
1. Who can use Trancemoto
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
1.2 You must not use the Service if the law forbids you from doing so, or if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms.
1.3 The Service is for personal, non-commercial use, unless we agree otherwise in writing. TO DO: confirm — e.g. fleets, rental operators, workshops
2. Your account
2.1 You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your Trancemoto account.
2.2 Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
2.3 One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account. Do not create accounts to collect extra free AI credits (section 7).
2.4 Tell us straight away at support@trancemoto.com if you think someone else is using your account.
2.5 You can delete your account at any time. How it works is set out on our delete-account page and in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your licence to use the app
3.1 We give you a personal, worldwide, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as you comply with these Terms.
3.2 You may not: copy, modify, or make derivative works of the app; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law expressly allows it; remove notices; rent, lend, sell or sub-license it; or use it to build a competing product.
3.3 The app includes open-source components licensed under their own terms. Those terms prevail for those components.
3.4 Your use through Google Play or the App Store is also subject to their terms. If you use the iOS app, the Apple addendum in section 22 applies.
4. Riding safety — please read
4.1 Do not use your phone while riding. Set up rides, routes and settings before you set off or after you stop safely. Mount your phone securely if you use it as a display, and do not interact with it while moving. Obey all traffic laws.
4.2 Trancemoto is an information tool, not a safety device. Its ride data, maps, routes, trip plans, distance and speed figures, lean angle, fuel economy and fuel-range estimates, fuel prices, weather, altitude and acclimatisation advice, maintenance predictions and reminders, and AI answers and diagnoses are estimates for information only. They can be wrong, late or incomplete. They are not:
- mechanical advice — have your motorcycle inspected and serviced by a qualified mechanic, and follow the manufacturer's manual;
- medical advice — altitude, health and emergency information is general; seek a doctor for medical concerns;
- navigation guarantees — roads, closures, conditions, borders, permits and fuel availability change. Check them yourself;
- a substitute for your own judgement.
4.3 Do not rely on Trancemoto to decide whether a motorcycle is safe to ride, whether you have enough fuel, or whether a route is safe or legal.
4.4 Speed, lean angle and other live figures come from your phone's GPS and sensors. They are approximate. Do not use them to test limits, race or ride dangerously.
4.5 Emergency contact and blood group fields are for your own reference. Trancemoto does not contact emergency services and does not detect crashes.
4.6 Group rides: each rider is responsible for their own riding. Live location sharing can lag or stop. Do not rely on it for anyone's safety.
5. AI features
5.1 Trancemoto offers AI features, including AI chat, AI diagnosis, receipt and invoice scanning, and an AI trip planner. You are interacting with AI systems, not people.
5.2 AI output can be wrong. AI can produce answers that sound confident but are inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or unsafe, including about specifications, service intervals, fault causes, prices, places and routes. Check anything important with a reliable source or a qualified professional. Section 4 applies to all AI output.
5.3 Scanned receipts and invoices are filled in for you to review. Check the figures before you save.
5.4 To answer you, AI features use your records and send what you submit to our AI providers, as the Privacy Policy describes. Do not submit other people's personal data, or anything you are not allowed to share. Your trip journal is never sent to AI providers.
5.5 You must not use the AI features to: generate unlawful, harmful, abusive or infringing content; try to make them reveal their instructions, other riders' data or our systems; get around limits, credits or safety controls; or run them in automated or bulk ways (section 9).
5.6 Within what the law and our providers' terms allow, you may use AI output for your own purposes. We do not claim ownership of it. Other people may receive similar output.
5.7 We may change, limit, replace or withdraw AI features or the models behind them.
6. Plans, subscriptions and billing
6.1 Plans
- Free (Basic): the core app, up to 3 bikes, and a one-time welcome grant of AI credits (section 7).
- Pro: up to 10 bikes, the AI trip planner, and a Pro AI-credit allowance, with other Pro features shown in the app. Pro is sold as a monthly or a yearly subscription.
What each plan includes is shown on the app's plan screen at the time you buy. We may change features over time; section 6.6 covers price changes.
6.2 Buying through the app store
Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through Google Play (and on iOS, the App Store). The store takes the payment, applies taxes and its own terms, and handles your payment details. The price, currency and billing period are shown before you confirm.
6.3 Automatic renewal — key terms
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel in the store.
- If a renewal payment fails, the store may give a grace period during which Pro stays active while it retries. If payment does not succeed, Pro ends.
- TO DO: annual reminder for yearly plans — confirm whether the store's emails satisfy the California Automatic Renewal Law, or send our own — OQ-26
6.4 Free trials and introductory offers
TO DO: free trial decision open (S-D7). If offered: If we offer a free trial or an introductory price, the plan screen shows its length, what you pay after it, and when. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and you are charged. One trial per person. TO DO: state whether trial users receive AI credits — today the trial grant is 0
6.5 Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy: Google Play for Android purchases, Apple for iOS purchases. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly. Ask the store; you can also write to support@trancemoto.com and we will help where we can. If a purchase is refunded, we may remove the credits or Pro access it gave you (section 7.6).
6.6 Price changes
We may change prices. The store will tell you in advance as its rules require, and where the law or the store requires it, you must agree to a price increase before it applies to you. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.
6.7 Taxes
Prices include or exclude taxes as the store shows them. TO DO: GST / VAT treatment — OQ-24
6.8 Right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content or services without giving a reason.
- Subscriptions: Pro starts immediately when you buy. By buying, you expressly ask us to begin supplying Pro at once. If you withdraw within 14 days, you may have to pay for the part of the period already supplied, as the law allows.
- AI credits: credits are delivered to your balance immediately. By buying a credit pack you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the credits are delivered.
- To withdraw, ask the store for a refund or contact us at support@trancemoto.com with your order details.
TO DO: the law requires this consent and acknowledgement to be given at purchase and confirmed on a durable medium. Counsel to confirm whether the store's flow covers it or the app must add an acknowledgement before purchase — OQ-25
7. AI credits
7.1 What credits are. AI credits are a limited, revocable licence to use certain AI features. They are not money, not a deposit and not property. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or anything else, and cannot be transferred, sold or gifted.
7.2 How you get credits.
- Welcome credits: a one-time grant to each new account (TO DO: 15 — confirm the number to publish at the time of writing). Welcome grants may be limited per day across all users and may arrive later if the daily limit is reached.
- Pro allowance: while you have Pro, 400 credits each month on the monthly plan, or 4,800 credits at the start of each year on the yearly plan. Unused Pro allowance does not carry over. It ends at the end of each billing period and is replaced at renewal. It also ends when your Pro subscription ends.
- Credit packs: bought credits, such as packs of 100 or 300 credits.
7.3 Which credits are used first. Pro allowance is used before bought or welcome credits.
7.4 Expiry. Bought and welcome credits do not expire while your account exists. TO DO: confirm — OQ-22 All credits are lost when your account is deleted or closed, and we do not refund unused credits except where the law requires it.
7.5 What features cost. Credits are charged according to the processing cost of each request. The app shows the expected cost of each feature, for example, at the time of writing, about 1–2 credits for an AI chat answer, 1 credit for a receipt scan, 2–3 credits for an invoice scan, 1–2 credits per diagnosis round, and about 25 credits for an AI trip plan (Pro only). We may reserve the maximum cost when a request starts and return the difference when it finishes. If a request fails because of an error on our side, we return the credits it used. We may change costs; the current costs are shown in the app.
7.6 Refunds and reversals. If a purchase is refunded, charged back or reversed, we may remove the credits it gave you, including credits already used, and may limit AI features until any negative balance is resolved. TO DO: counsel to confirm the negative-balance wording
7.7 Fair use. To keep the Service affordable for everyone, each plan has fair-use limits on very heavy AI use over a day and over a longer period. Holding credits does not lift these limits. If you reach one, AI features pause for you and resume on their own as your usage falls within the limit. We set limits so that ordinary use does not reach them. We may adjust them.
7.8 Other limits. Some features have daily caps, such as the number of trip plans or place searches per day, and one trip plan can run at a time.
7.9 Errors. If credits are added by mistake or through a bug, we may correct the balance.
8. Your content
8.1 "Your content" means what you add to the Service: ride records, logs, photos, voice recordings, journal entries, messages, prompts, attachments and so on. You own your content.
8.2 You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only to operate, secure and improve the Service for you, and as the Privacy Policy describes (including sending it to our service providers). Content you post in a group ride is also shown to that ride's members. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law and backups that expire on their own.
8.3 You confirm that you have the rights to your content, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights, including privacy. Get permission before you add other people's personal data, such as an emergency contact or photos of other people.
8.4 We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it for advertising.
8.5 We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break any law, or use the Service to plan or record illegal activity, such as street racing;
- harass, threaten, stalk or abuse anyone, including by misusing group rides or live location;
- upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, or that invades someone's privacy;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are;
- access another person's account or data, or probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission;
- use bots, scripts, scrapers or automated means to access the Service, create accounts, or call AI features;
- create multiple accounts, or use fake or bought accounts, to obtain welcome credits or free features;
- resell, share or commercially exploit AI features, credits or output, or use them to train or benchmark other AI models;
- try to get around credits, fair-use limits, rate limits, plan limits, or security controls, or exploit a bug instead of reporting it;
- interfere with the Service, overload it, or spread malware;
- reverse engineer the app except as the law allows;
- use the Service in any way that could harm riders, us or the public.
We may investigate breaches, suspend features, remove credits gained through abuse, and close accounts (section 13).
10. Group rides and other riders
10.1 Group rides let you share messages and, if you choose, your live location with the ride's members. Share only with people you trust. You can stop sharing location at any time.
10.2 Hosts are responsible for who they invite. Treat other riders with respect.
10.3 We are not responsible for what other riders post or do, on or off the road. Report abuse to support@trancemoto.com.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Google (sign-in, maps, Firebase and Gemini), Apple (sign-in and App Store), Google Play, RevenueCat, OpenAI, Perplexity, Geoapify, OpenCage, Open-Meteo and OpenStreetMap. Maps and place data © OpenStreetMap contributors where shown. We do not control third-party services, and their own terms may apply to you — for example, Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy when you use Google Maps features. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites or content we link to. TO DO: counsel to confirm required attribution and pass-through terms for each provider
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, the app, its design, software, text, graphics, logos, and the "Trancemoto" name are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to use our name or logos. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
13. Suspension and termination
13.1 You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
13.2 We may suspend or close your account, or limit features, if: you break these Terms or the law; we must do so to comply with law; your use risks harm to others, the Service or us; or the account is used for abuse of credits or automation. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless that would be unlawful or create a risk.
13.3 If we close your account without cause, we will give you reasonable notice. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, you lose access to unused credits and are not entitled to a refund, except where the law says otherwise. Store subscription refunds remain subject to store policies.
13.4 We may change or stop the Service, or any part of it. If we stop the whole Service, we will give at least TO DO: 30 days' notice where we can, and let you export your data. TO DO: refund approach for prepaid yearly plans if the Service closes — OQ-24
13.5 Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so, including 7.1, 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19.
14. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running, but it may be unavailable or have errors at times, including because of our providers. We may update the app; some updates may be required to keep using it.
15. Disclaimers
15.1 To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
15.2 We do not warrant that the Service, its data or its AI output will be accurate, complete, reliable, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that it will meet your needs.
15.3 Consumers: this section does not affect your statutory rights. In the EU and UK you have legal guarantees that digital content and services conform to the contract; in India you have rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Those rights apply in addition to these Terms.
16. Limitation of liability
16.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
16.2 Subject to 16.1, and to the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill;
- we are not liable for loss or damage caused by your reliance on ride data, routes, fuel or range estimates, weather, altitude advice, maintenance predictions or AI output, where section 4 or 5 told you not to rely on it;
- we are not liable for loss caused by using the phone while riding, by your motorcycle's condition, or by road, traffic or weather conditions;
- our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and (b) TO DO: amount, e.g. USD 50 / INR 5,000 — OQ-40.
16.3 EU and UK consumers: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. The limits in 16.2 apply only as far as your local law allows.
17. Indemnity
If you are using the Service other than as a consumer, or to the extent your local law allows, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Service. TO DO: counsel to confirm — consumer indemnities are often unenforceable in the EU/UK and India
18. Governing law and disputes
18.1 Talk to us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly. Write to support@trancemoto.com and give us TO DO: 30 days to try to resolve it.
18.2 Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of TO DO: e.g. India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
18.3 Venue: the courts of TO DO: city, state have jurisdiction, except that:
- if you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts;
- if you are a consumer in India, you may approach the Consumer Commission with jurisdiction over you;
- if you are a consumer in the United States, TO DO: venue / arbitration decision — OQ-05. Recommendation: no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver at launch.
18.4 EU online dispute resolution: TO DO: counsel to confirm current EU requirements — the ODR platform was discontinued in 2025
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will tell you in the app or by email at least TO DO: 30 days before a material change takes effect, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account; you may cancel your subscription in the store.
20. General
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any terms shown at purchase are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them to someone who takes over the Service, if your rights are not reduced.
- These Terms do not give rights to anyone else, except as section 22 says for Apple.
- If these Terms are translated and the versions differ, the English version applies, unless your local law says otherwise.

22. Apple App Store addendum
22.1 Parties. These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
22.2 Licence scope. Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where available.
22.3 Maintenance and support. We alone are responsible for maintenance and support, as set out in these Terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
22.4 Warranty. We are responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent not disclaimed.
22.5 Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
22.6 Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
22.7 Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
22.8 Developer contact. Questions, complaints or claims about the app: TO DO: legal entity name, TO DO: postal address, support@trancemoto.com.
22.9 Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app, for example your mobile network operator's terms.
